AMC Totally Digs Robert Kirkman Now, Will Develop Thief of Thieves Series

AMC likes Robert Kirkman! Right now, they like him! It has been announced that the cable network will develop Kirkman’s newest title, Thief of Thieves, as a new series. While this is obviously great news, it’s hardly a surprise that AMC would be eager to work with Kirkman on another project. Consider the monster ratings they’ve gotten from The Walking Dead. And now, they’re hoping that heists will start having a moment, similar to zombies, the ’60s, perhaps not dreary murders …

If the thing that bothers you the most about the holiday season is the neverending background music of songs we’ve heard over and over and over again (I’m looking at you, “Jingle Bells”), then Jimmy Fallon has solved your problem. He got some famous friends together — Patton Oswalt, Maya Rudolph, Jesse Eisenberg, Martin Short, T.I., Brian Williams, Jack McBrayer, Zac Efron, Howie Mandel, Jason Segel, and Walter the Muppet — to give the classic poem “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” the Mad Libs treatment to change things up a bit. And now it has nipples in it.

Celebrating Christmas In Arkham City, With Batman [VIDEO]

As a thank you to Rocksteady Studios, the creators of Batman: Arkham City, Blue Goggles Films made a Christmas video as cheery as one could expect considering it was filmed in the overrun, super-sized mental asylum. A summary of what you’re about to see? “Set on Christmas Eve within the confines of the Arkham City prison, two of the Penguin’s dullest lights on the tree, attempt to enjoy the holidays together.” What could possibly go wrong?

Also, this may be the sweetest Christmas thing I’ve seen this year.

Oh, we are seriously running out of time to get our loved ones gifts for Christmas. But here is an idea: why not make them really annoyed with you by getting them horrible gifts? Or lower their expectations by getting them horrible gifts and then giving them slightly better gifts that still don’t have to be all that impressive if you’ve just gifted them with garbage? This might have been the thinking behind Jimmy Kimmel‘s call for his fans to give their children intentionally horrible gifts and post the videos to YouTube. Then again, he may just know that it is hilarious to watch children be extremely disappointed.

But what’s this I said about Damon, as in Matt Damon? Does it have something else to do with horrible gifts? Or something to do with having some sort of intimate relationship? (Um, non-spoiler: it’s the former. The video behind the jump is definitely SFW.)

It’s Alan Moore’s Birthday, and He’d Like Your Help With Something [Video]

So, today is Alan Moore‘s birthday, and you might be thinking to yourself, “What can I do for Alan Moore on his birthday?” Well, here is one thing: support the effort to get a memorial built to commemorate the late cartoonist/curmudgeon Harvey Pekar in his hometown of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. We urge you to spend the next few minutes listening to the creator of V for Vendetta and Watchmen tell you exactly why Pekar deserves such a monument. And if you do, help out, Alan Moore might even talk to you (via video conference or maybe even in person)! More information can be found on the Kickstarter page, where fundraising is still going on for the next 16 days and they are less than $1,500 short of their $30,000 goal.
