Jaimie Alexander Talks Sif’s Role in Thor: The Dark World, Whether We Can Expect a Love Triangle

On the Iron Man 3 red carpet Bleeding Cool caught up with Lady Sif herself, Jaimie Alexander, to talk about Thor: The Dark World, the trailer for which had just been released earlier that day. The extent of the 100% spoiler-free comments she made is that the Thor sequel “definitely [has] a darker feel” than its predecessor. Fitting, given the title.

It’s her more spoilery comments about the potential for a love triangle between Sif, Thor, and Jane that caught my attention, though. Vague unmarked spoilers are behind the cut. Come have feels with me.

Tina Fey Says “No Way” to Hosting the Oscars

“I just feel like that gig is so hard. Especially for, like, a woman—the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone … no way.” Tina Fey, asked whether her Golden Globes hosting gig and an endorsement by William Shatner might lead to her and Amy Poehler hosting the Oscars next year.

Told that the interviewer “was hoping for at least ‘a one in a million chance,’” Fey responded “I wish I could tell you there was.”

Welp. There you go. It was a nice dream while it lasted.

Still Feel Bad About the Weasley Twins? This Won’t Help.

Mr. Whaite‘s illustration of famous fictional twins is awesome, but I can’t look at anything Weasley twin-related without wanting to cry.

Catwoman Can Still Bring Anne Hathaway to Tears… In a Good Way

Anne Hathaway’s made no secret that she really wanted the role of Selina Kyle went she went for it in the casting process for The Dark Knight Rises. It should surprise no one that she’d be 100% down for reprising her role as the character in some form. (Not that any such thing appears to be on the horizon, or is even likely to be on the horizon.)

But the emotion with which she regards the character is pretty endearing:

Here, Have Some Feels: The 100 Most Depressing Movie Death Scenes [VIDEO]

I made myself sit through this five minutes and seven seconds of pure emotional turmoil, and now I’m passing it on to you. Via the miserable sadists at Movie Miscellany, here’s a montage of the 100 Most Depressing Movie Death Scenes. Some of them are legitimately heartbreaking (ARRRTAAAAAX!). For others, your narm mileage may vary. Some of the deaths aren’t really geared toward being depressing at all, like that of Marion Crane in Psycho, which is more of the bone-chilling variety. And there are a few particularly tragic examples missing (Littlefoot’s mother from The Land Before Time, for example. And any of Sean Bean‘s many, many deaths, which the video description acknowledges).

Still. Something tells me that you’ll need to see something chipper and uplifting after watching this. Here’s a baby kangaroo.

Now excuse me while I try and stave off The Iron Giant feels.

Subject Yourself to Emotional Turmoil with this Short Film About a Girl Gamer [VIDEO]

Fair warning: Only watch this short film, Escape by Kennedy J. Baruch, if you’re prepared for an emotional gutpunch. In it, a young girl who’s ridiculed by her classmates and neglected by her fighting parents escapes the harsh reality of her everyday life by playing video games, specifically The Legend of Zelda – Twilight Princess. It’s… kinda tough to watch. But still good.
