Only Female Protagonist in Assassin’s Creed To Get Console Missions

When Ubisoft initially announced the creation of Aveline de Grandpré, the first female playable character in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, you could tell she’d hit a chord by the best of indicators: despite her costume involving multiple layers, distressed fabrics, studs, buckles, leather, and custom weapons… there was cosplay immediately. This was despite the fact that the game she starred in was available only for a poorly selling handheld device rather than a major console release. But Ubisoft has just confirmed that Aveline will be getting her console debut with the upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Pirates Black Flag.

Days of Future Past‘s Magneto Gets His Saturday Night Fever On

Previous set photos from X-Men: Days of Future Past have been decidedly groovy, sartorially speaking. Compared to those, this new picture of Michael Fassbender‘s Magneto believing he can touch the sky (daily Space Jam reference: Made) is relatively normal. The Puppet Version of Manos the Hands of Fate Just Hit its Kickstarter Goal

Manos: The Hands of Felt started when puppeteer Rachel Jackson made a bad pun and then decided that it had legs. Like, lots of puppety, Muppet spoofing, parodic retelling of the making of Manos: The Hands of Fate and its revival as a Mystery Science Theater 3000 mainstay legs. So she turned it into a live show, and now a DVD release of that live show has just hit its funding goal on Kickstarter. There are still five days to go in the pledge drive, though, and I feel it is my duty to remind any Torgo fans out there that they can pick up a digital download of the movie for only $5.

Maybe we can get a hologram of Bob Hope to do it. That’s totally a thing that science can do, right? I could swear I saw it on CNN.
