The Gender Politics Of Game of Thrones, Expressed Through Song, By James Brown [VIDEO]

We’ve seen lyrics put to the lyric-less Game of Thrones theme song before but never quite like this. DJ rozroz seemingly explores the gender politics of George R.R. Martin’s Westeros by mixing the theme song with James Brown’s “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World.” It works surprisingly well.

Watch a Game of Thrones Fan Get Proposed to While Sitting on the Iron Throne [VIDEO]

When Jill visited the Game of Thrones exhibit in New York City she had quite a memorable experience, meeting several of the show’s stars and sitting on the Iron Throne. A reporter doing a local news segment there just so happened to catch two other Game of Thrones fans who’ll never forget their visit, albeit for a different reason: Because they got engaged there.

I’m going to forego my kneejerk cynical comment on Westeros weddings and just say that this is pretty freaking cute. Nerd love is the best love.

Sophie Turner: Game of Thrones Book Readers Will Be “Super Shocked” By Season Three Changes

Huh. It goes without saying that non-book readers will be shocked by, ahem, certain events in season three of Game of Thrones, but it looks like we book fans won’t be missing out on that front either.

So… yay? I’m frightened, Auntie Em, I’m frightened!

New TV Spot Shows Us the Enemies of Game of Thrones, a.k.a. Everyone [VIDEO]

When it comes to Game of Thrones TV spots, so far we’ve had “War” and “Beast.” And now there’s “Enemies.” It’s really intense. Like Stannis-talking-about-how-he’s-the-rightful-king intense. Or Dany-after-you’ve-stolen-her-dragons intense.

There’s not much new footage, but man that’s some good editing.

I remember when we had to get a bigger cat carrier for my one cat because he got huge. I can’t begin to imagine the cost of owning dragons. The dragons on HBO’s Game of Thrones aren’t even real and they’re breaking the bank! Ok not really, but sometimes my mind boggles at how much goes into creating such a series.
