We Sat On The Iron Throne At HBO’s Game of Thrones Exhibition In NYC

I knew I made a great life choice living in New York. It just happens to be one of the stops on HBO and Time Warner Cable’s traveling Game of Thrones exhibition. The great part about this exhibition? It’s open to the public and free to enter! I was lucky enough to be able to attend the grand opening party last night in Manhattan, saw some pretty cool things, and met some amazing people. It’s one thing to see these props and costumes in pictures but it really is fantastic to see them in person. Take a look at what the exhibition has to offer.

Science Tells Us Whether Game of Thrones‘ Wall Could Exist In Real Life

Wired, in a blessed union of science and pop culture, asked scientists for their expert opinions on the feasibility of Game of Thrones’ Wall, a 700-foot-tall icy fortification that defends the 300-mile-long northern border of Westeros against the Wildlings, White Walkers, giants, talking polar bears… wait, no. Sorry. Wrong franchise on that last one.

Anyway. What’s the verdict? Could such a thing really exist?

Real Life Meets Game of Thrones – Actor Has Body Part Bitten Off In Fight

We all knew Greatjon Umber was tough son of a gun but it turns out the actor who plays him on HBO’s Game of Thrones is as well. Clive Mantle was recently in an altercation in which part of his body was bitten off. Now the question is, was it the same part he lost on the show?

Game of Thrones Cast Attempts To Sing Their Wordless Theme Song

Get More:
MTV Shows

We’ve already witnessed the Stark children, Arya, Bran, and Sansa “singing” the Game of Thrones theme. Then they beatboxed it. But what happens when you put the entire cast on the spot at the red carpet for the Season 3 premiere? This.

Jon, Dany, Robb, and Ygritte Put Their Game Faces On for New Game of Thrones Promos

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to our readers who don’t read/watch Game of Thrones. But when we keep getting awesome trailers and promo pics like these, how can we not post them? You just have to hang on for a few more weeks until the show starts back up, after which time we’ll (probably) stop posting so much Game of Thrones. Because it’s hard to wrangle HTML tags when you’re crying.

This batch is from the same shoot as those Entertainment Weekly promos we posted last week. So there’s a lot of Jon and Dany, plus a few of Robb and a couple of Ygritte with remarkably neat, shiny hair for a wildling.

New Full-Length Game of Thrones Season 3 Trailer, Where Dragons Are Medieval Balloons

We’re experiencing an overabundance of new Game of Thrones Season 3 footage. Not that I mind, but the premiere on March 31st seems that much further away for it. Over the weekend we saw two new television length spots but now we’ve got our second full-length trailer! I might have squealed out loud several times while watching it. One of those times may or may not have been after seeing Daario.

Two Game of Thrones Trailers in Two Days? HBO, You’re Spoiling Us. [VIDEO]

…or they’re just buttering us up so the pain we’ll feel by the end of the season will be even worse.

Yesterday’s trailer, titled “War,” gave us a sense of the larger conflict that will rage across Westeros in season three of Game of Thrones. This new trailer, “Beast,” takes a more personal approach to the major players. Says Jorah Mormont: “There’s a beast in every man, and it stirs when you put a sword in his hand.”

Can it be the end of the month yet?
