Too Lazy To Turn A Page? Read Classic Novels On A Poster Instead!

Spineless Classics (awesome name, btw) sells posters with entire novels printed on them. But can you actually read them if so inclined? “Hard as it may be to believe, each one of our designs contains the full text of the book. Where there are shapes in the design, the words wrap to the edges rather than being removed or shaded,” they write. “The apparent font size is roughly 4 point which is perfectly legible with the naked eye if you have 20/20 vision, or with light magnification if you don’t.” Check out what books like Harry Potter, The Hobbit, Dracula, and more look like when laid out flat.

Once Upon a Time to Finally Introduce Alice in Her Own Wonderland-Set Spinoff?

Last we heard of Once Upon a Time‘s rumored Mad Hatter spinoff, things weren’t looking good: Actor Sebastian Stan is too busy being Bucky Barnes in the Marvelverse to reprise his role, and Once showrunner Eddy Kitsis said they weren’t going to recast him. Oh well. A Wonderland-set Once spinoff could’ve been neat, but—

Wait. They’re still doing one? Just with a different main character?

Oh there you are, Alice! Where’ve you been?

Watch, If You Dare, Gary Busey Talking (And Singing!) About the Sex Drive of Hobbits [VIDEO]

Skip to 1:22 for the Hobbit stuff, unless you want to hear noted Hobbit expert Gary Busey talk about Korea, Lapland, baby reindeer, and the (questionable) etymology of the word “horny.”

Vaguely NSFW, but it’s Sunday and you’re a rebel.

Once Upon A Time Has To Recast The Mad Hatter. Blame Captain America.

If you watch ABC’s Once Upon a Time you know they pull from all sorts of stories, not just the usual suspects, for their characters. We’ve seen a few glimpses of the realm called Wonderland but one of the people they’ve given extra attention to was the Mad Hatter (aka Jefferson). Actor Sebastian Stan had a recurring role on the show which is now causing the network a few problems since he has other obligations to fulfill. And did we mention they’re thinking about a spinoff for the Mad Hatter?

SyFy’s Thinking of Remaking Waterworld… and It Kind of Makes Sense

I realize a statement of such magnitude requires some reassurance, so I’ll say it: bear with me here. Forbes’ Jeff Bercovici, fresh off profiling the continuing evolution of the Syfy Channel as an piece of the entertainment business landscape (specifically their combined television show and MMORPG Defiance), has another, unrelated bit of information that he gleaned from his experience at the channel.

With the merger between NBC and Vivendi Universal in 2004, the SyFy channel gained access to Universal’s properties, including Waterworld. And the reasons why a remake would make sense begins with: despite its name as one of the worst and most expensive movies of the 90s, whenever the film runs on Syfy, it gets a healthy viewership.

Why Prometheus Got More Interesting After It Left Theaters…

Prometheus comes out on DVD and Blu-ray tomorrow, which means we’ve been seeing a lot of interesting tidbits about the either genius or confusing and muddled (depending on who you ask) film. And while we already knew there will be a good 35 minutes of deleted and alternate scenes on the Blu-ray set, we now also know that they’re forever going to be confined to the “special features” submenu, as director Ridley Scott is refusing to do a Director’s Cut.

Pushing Daisies‘ Bryan Fuller’s The Munsters Gets Shelved… Maybe?

Television reboots of beloved old series aren’t the most popular thing these days (market saturation, what can you do?), but the idea of Bryan Fuller at the helm of Mockingbird Lane, a reboot of The Munsters, was pleasing to a lot of people. Fuller’s claim to fame are such charming quirky concept and design-heavy shows as Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me.

The other thing those shows have in common is being cancelled, with their hosting networks citing low ratings. Perhaps it was this that was unfortunately most prominent in the mind of somebody at NBC?
