According to Know Your Meme, the “Hail HYDRA” meme has been around a while because, well, HYDRA is a Marvel Comics institution. But they cite Twitter user @ReyEstupendo (his Bert & Ernie above) as the first to start the current iteration spawning from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It reminds me of the #TrueDetectiveSeason2 meme which was equally entertaining, but not nearly as nerdy. Anyway, recent events have caused it to completely explode and we’ve captured a measly 21 amusing instances of it we’ve found online.READ MORE

All Lego really had to do with its The Simpsons license was make a set, so it’s frankly even more impressive that this set is so big, so detailed, and so versatile. Lego basically made an intricate The Simpsons dollhouse that you can build from scratch. And apparently the transaction works both ways, because The Simpsons will be airing a Lego episode in May, featuring Springfield in Lego form.READ MORE

Transcendence is the first feature-length film by frequent Christopher Nolan cinematographer Wally Pfister, who’s enlisted Nolan regulars Morgan Freeman and Cillian Murphy for his directorial debut. Also in the cast are Johnny Depp, Rebecca Hall, Paul Bettany, and Kate Mara. If you want to see JARVIS and Maya Hansen turn Captain Jack Sparrow into a computer, this one is for you.
