Matt Smith Hijacks Nathan Fillion’s Twitter Account

Comic-Con may be over, but we can still enjoy the insane fan dreams come true that could only come from SDCC, like The Doctor and Captain Mal hanging out together. Matt Smith doesn’t have a twitter, and decided to send fans a message from Nathan Fillion‘s, causing fans everywhere to once again wish that The Doctor would pop over to Serenity to argue with Mal and talk spaceships with Kaylee.

How To Train Your Dragon 2 Has a Teaser Trailer!

It’s official: How To Train Your Dragon 2 has a teaser trailer!

This is the first of the “big four” (the four being: HTTYD, Brave, Tangled, and Rise of the Guardians, which do, in fact, have a collective fandom) to get a sequel, so expect fansplosions from the Tumblr set and lots of excitement.

The new video features the flying acrobatics of an older Hiccup and Toothless, being daring and fearless and badass as they rocket through the sky. Also, is it just me or did Hiccup pull the animated equivalent of a Neville Longbottom and had a very successful time with puberty?

Based on the flying maneuvers the dynamic duo are pulling in this video, it looks like Hiccup did figure out “how to train [his] dragon”!

Transistor Boasts Redheaded Woman Protag and Active-Strategic Gameplay [VIDEO]

Supergiant Games is no stranger to beautifully-illustrated, emotionally compelling, fun-to-play productions; they are the studio behind the indie hit Bastion, after all.

So you can imagine that there was already a considerable buzz surrounding their new project, Transistor, from the time it was first announced– particularly (for me) because it features a woman protagonist fighting assassins in a noir cyberpunk metropolis. Check out the video to see for yourself, and look under the cut for some more details.

If you want to skip the intro, 1:53 is where the gameplay starts.

New Powerpuff Girls Special Coming To Cartoon Network Plus A DC Nation Shake-Up

Cartoon Network is busy presenting their upcoming roster of shows for advertisers and we’ve seen some interesting developments. For one, there’s an all-new Powerpuff Girls special making its way to the network but Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, and Young Justice are notably absent. Could this mean what we think it means? It sure can considering two new DC shows are premiering soon.

Everybody Freak Out: Sherlock‘s Production Designer Tweeted A Picture of an Empty Set

It’s been over a year since the season two finale of BBC’s Sherlock aired, and now it looks like season three might start filming soon. Or, if not soon, at least sometime before the fandom dies of old age. Please?

You’ll Never Believe Who’s Voicing The Snowmen In The Doctor Who Christmas Special

We’re still a few weeks off from seeing this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special but that doesn’t mean other people haven’t gotten a glimpse. We know there’s going to be creepy snowmen involved but we didn’t know they’d have actual personalities. We now know they do thanks to one, very special person. Who is it? We’ll leave this huge spoiler until after the jump but I will say this – it’s someone we adore here at The Mary Sue.

Boy Meets World Sequel Series On The Way Called Girl Meets World (Holy Crap!)

Your immediate reaction might be to groan but hold off. Disney is planning a new television series that would act as a sequel to the 1993 sitcom, Boy Meets World. Why is this good news? The series will be titled Girl Meets World and feature Cory and Topanga’s daughter in the lead role. My 1990s feels just came a’knockin’.

It’s Confirmed! Coulson Lives, Will Appear in ABC’s S.H.I.E.L.D.

You can put your plans to avenge Coulson on hold–’cause he ain’t dead. Clark Gregg showed up at the Marvel Television panel at New York Comic Con last night to help announce that everyone’s favorite agent would be kicking butt and deadpan snarking in the upcoming TV show S.H.I.E.L.D., the pilot of which is being directed by Joss Whedon.
