As the only female head of a major studio, Amy Pascal knows her stuff when it comes to the industry. So when she says of female directors that “the whole system is geared for them to fail,” maybe she knows what she’s talking about. Just maybe.

Note the sarcasm, please; I just wanted to get ahead of any mansplainers who might want to say things like “But I was in a directing class once and most of my fellow students were men, so maybe there aren’t that many women who wan’t to direct!”

Lady Scientists Promote The Field With Make-Up, Dancing, & Actual Science Stuff [VIDEO]

Remember that video, Science: It’s a Girl Thing? Yeah. It was terrible and the European Union Commission spent a lot of money making it. So a group of Bristol women getting their PhDs in neuroscience, psychology, psychopharmacology, and more decided to make a parody for a lot less. And it’s pretty great. The parody is called “Science: It’s a Thing.4.Girls” and some fellas even get in on the fun! The women suggest, “If you would like to do something practical to help women in science, why not buy a calendar here?”

Upon hearing there’s a bar that offers pregnancy tests in the bathroom, you might think they’re trying to make some really terrible joke about taking someone home after a few beers and having unprotected sex. In actuality, they’re concerned with women who had sex before stepping into their establishment. That’s right. One Minnesota bar wants to prevent you from drinking while you’re pregnant. Thanks for the concern, I guess?

If there’s one thing I’ve always found the most inconvenient about being a woman, it’s the flabbergasting lack of pens marketed for my delicate lady-fingers. Luckily, the marketing geniuses over at Bic have come along to save the day, and Bic’s “For Her” pens are a smash hit. At least, if Amazon UK is to be believed, what with its pages upon pages of reviews on the product.
