This Is What Some Helmets Might Have Looked Like if Star Wars Never Happened

No, I swear. The title makes sense. Imagine, if you will, that Star Wars never happened. Boba Fett never would have been created, and his distinctive armor would never have been designed. That would leave any designer, from a number of movie productions, wide open to use that design should it occur to them… since they would not have discarded it as too much like another iconic helmet.

And that’s how you might get Fett-like designs in Game of Thrones, Iron Man, 300, Skyrim, and/or Total Recall. Or, fine, just call them Boba Fett helmets redesigned by Joe Johnston and Sandy Dhuyvetter, who were on hand when the original helmet was designed, and made for the charitable As You Wish Project.

Ehhh… I’d like to see more credit given to all the artists who did these helmets, not just Joe and Sandy.  A bunch of different individuals and workshops worked hard on these, without input from either of them, and it kind of discredits their creativity when you give those two all the credit in your blurb.

Everyone else should check out the As You Wish Project’s page though, because there are a ton of amazing helmets, some that are even more elaborate and incredible than these that don’t directly reference other films.

Agree with Anne here, I’ve watched several of these artists design and build their helmets as part of a Make a Wish project over the last months on their webpages, and MarySue, you’re really disappointing with this uncharacteristic lack of detail and fact in your blurb…
