Very interesting casting. A relative unknown in the lead role surrounded by a few very good actors. Hopefully this means we’ll get some great ensemble work and not 40 minutes of extreme close-ups of Bo and 5 minutes of bad-ass acting from Lindo, Guillory, and Chung (and the inevitable 15 minutes of commercials, of course).

I was a little iffy on that as well. But, if it makes it better, it looks like the main character is a kid, judging by the film stills of her that DarthLocke4 mentioned below. So, at least in this show, it would make sense that she’d need a guardian.

Though your point about how female characters always end up with male protectors/handlers still stands.

One could always argue that Lost Girl ripped of the film Signs, but I think we’re being petty. For Bad Robot this is something up their alley as girls that have some kind of above and beyond ability tends to be on the M.O.

I’m looking forward to this, as I do with most new Bad Robot shows and I think A.C. will be a good director of the Pilot. If anyone is looking for images of J.S., I suggest Facebook’s “An Unkindness of Ravens” Movie Page, but Miss Sequoyah seems to go by another surname, Johnny Freidenberg. (look in the “HAWKS” album for the character Joey)

But what I really can’t wait for is “Inhuman” casting news!

He was GREAT as the villain in Chicago Blue. Very compelling, had this whole “I’m corrupt for the betterment of my constituents” thing going on that was true, but still wrong.

I haven’t seen Lindo in much, but he and Holly Hunter were the best parts of A Life Less Ordinary, so I’m looking forward to seeing him again.

Not that I’m not still excited about this, but why is it that whenever there’s a show about a strong, powerful woman, she always has a male protector or handler? Can’t powerful women ever be trusted to take care of themselves?
