The First Trailer for Batman: Year One is Great, Still Has Ben McKenzie

Almost Totally Excellent

Okay, now that there’s an actual trailer for DC’s animated adaptation of Batman: Year One (with a bonus shot of Catwoman scratching the Roman), can we talk about how it seems like it’s going to be completely awesome, with an art style that matches the comic right down to the color palette… except. EXCEPT that Benjamin McKenzie sounds like a fifteen year old pretending to be Batman to his friends, rather than an actor playing Batman for a movie. This is a problem, because in classic noir style, Batman: Year One is heavy on the character narration. Thank goodness Bryan Cranston will be narrating the other half.

Where is Kevin Conroy when you need him?

Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
