Batman: The Telltale Series Trailer Promises Even More Tough Choices

And you thought episode two was rough.

Spoilers for Batman: The Telltale Series within; proceed at your own risk.

Telltale Games’ latest Batman series is only two episodes into its five episode run, but that doesn’t mean the Dark Knight hasn’t had to make some tough calls already–and based on the newest trailer, the hard choices are far from over.

I’ve played my way through the first two available chapters of Batman: The Telltale Series, and the second episode ended with Batman having to make a difficult choice–save Harvey Dent, mayoral candidate and friend to Bruce Wayne, from Oswald Cobblepot; or save Selina Kyle, new thief in town and Harvey’s “friend”, from Cobblepot’s henchman. If you chose to save Harvey, Selina got shot but lived to see another day; if you picked Selina, Harvey suffered the traumatic injury that will eventually turn him into Two-Face.

I chose to save Selina (I can’t help it, I’m a Catwoman fan), and based on the newly released trailer from Telltale Games above, it looks like parts of the narrative play out based on that decision. It could also mean that Harvey Dent is going to become Two-Face either way. If that’s the case, the trailer could be a way of the game telling players that regardless of their choice at the end of episode two, some events just have a certain… inevitability.

Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne is going to have to come to terms with the fact that his memory of his father is not as positive as he’s been led to believe. Here’s what players can look forward to from the upcoming episode entitled “New World Order”, which will be available to play starting tomorrow, Tuesday, October 25:

Penguin’s brutal attack broadcast on live TV has left Gotham City reeling. As Bruce and Batman, you’ll dig deeper into the web of intrigue surrounding the newly revealed Children of Arkham.

Meanwhile, behind closed doors, the mysterious Selina Kyle reveals more of herself to Bruce. And in the aftermath of the attack, Bruce’s friend and Gotham’s new mayor, Harvey Dent, is a deeply changed man. Who can be trusted when the future of Bruce Wayne – and the Batman – could be determined by the flip of a coin?

Have you been playing Batman: The Telltale Game? How have you chosen to play Batman and Bruce Wayne so far? (My one goal is to make my Bruce as cheesy as humanly possible.)
