According to Buzzfeed, “The 1990 edition of ‘The Atlas Of The DC Universe’ puts Gotham City on the north side of the Delaware River,” but apparently it’s been canon for even longer. As I Jersey girl, all I can say is, “WHOOOOOPIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!” Also, this.

    I suppose this happens because DC had to go and make NYC a major location. I’m shocked about comments relating to Metropolis being on the East Coast, though.

    Gotham City is Chicago if Chicago were a coastal city and Metropolis is a coastal city within driving distance of Kansas.

    I have this book. It’s a sourcebook for the old DC Heroes role playing game. Even better, it has Metropolis just down the road in southern Delaware. DELAWARE.

    (Fun book though, especially for reflecting the state of DC coming out of the 1980s.)

    I want a Batman / Jersey Shore crosssover now. And he beats up the Jersey Shore people and puts them in Arkham. Where they get killed by the Joker, or something.
