Allow us to explain.

It’s possible that the awesome Sorsha is owned by Disney now; and Sarah is spiritually Henson, and therefore also Disney, now (though I think Sony has the rights to Labyrinth). Anyhow, glad to see older characters getting some love, instead of the same ol’ same ol’ never reaching back beyond a few years; however, homaging Mucha is massively played out.
Odette is from the swan princess, which is based on swan lake
Disappointed there’s no Princess Buttercup :(
So thrilled about Sorsha!
Is it me or does the Child-Like Empress look like Anna Chlumsky?
Awful lot of damsels in distress there.
I never realised that the spiritual Henson had such a heaving bosom.
(I…I was 14 when Labyrinth came out! IT WAS OKAY BACK THEN)
Anastasia was a Disney movie, no?
No, by the same people who did Shrek
I’d say Carey Mulligan.
Not them either. It’s from Fox Animation Studios, directed by Don Bluth and Gary Goldman. They also did Titan A.E.
Pretty sure Lydia, Amalthea, Sarah, Crysta, and Lili aren’t princesses, but this is a cool idea and beautifully designed.
Lovely! But I am pretty disappointed that they are all white :- I guess I need to learn how to make art and fix this.
Unless they meant all the non-”Disney Princesses”?
Crysta I believe was a princess Archetype, “Daughter of the fairy elder.” Which if he were king then yea she’s a princess. Lili from Legend actually was a princess, he (tom cruise) calls her princess and bows to her at the beginning of the movie, if i’m not mistaken. Amalthea was the last unicorn there by making her royalty in the land of the fae as unicorns are considered the royalty of the mythic. It’s Lydia and Sarah that are not. But they still fit the archetype. The Heroine, and its odd that you point it out that Sarah isn’t because out of all of them she it the most queenly. She relied less upon a man to do for her and more upon her own powers, especially at the end.
I’m quite sad that there’s no Princess Rillaine de Lucifenia, or Amelia Wil Tesla Seiruune.
