Ant-Man Poster Features the Main Cast Looking Like They’re Not Sure What to Make of the Movie Either

"What's my motivation in this scene?" "$$$$"

It’s the Ant-Man poster! And it’s normal size this time! No more hiding behind those “here’s a tiny thing you can’t actually read heehee” gimmicks, and… man, I kind of miss the gimmicks. (Click to enlarge from tiny ant size to actual size.)

Honestly, the poster seems about as confused about the movie as its trailers. “I don’t know. It’s a superhero movie, but it’s also maybe funny???? Just stick him in a vaguely action-y pose with nondescript images of the supporting cast. Oh, and some city stuff in the background! And the Golden Gate Bridge to get the setting across! Perfect. Just generic enough.”

Even the characters on the poster look like they’re not sure what they’re supposed to be doing there. Let’s just keep hoping that the weirdness comes from a marketing desire to push a comedy as a more straightforward superhero movie and that the film is a little more sure of what it’s supposed to be.
