Ahhhh, Anne Hathaway. Just look at her! She’s a delightful breath of fresh air who can transform herself into any character, but maintain her affable, lovely personality. And today we found out that her most current alter ego is an uncapped can of whoopass. Apparently, that dainty, ethereal picture of serenity and joy — who is playing Selina Kyle aka Catwoman — left a stuntman on the set of The Dark Knight Rises with a black eye following “quite a pummeling.” Anne! Anne! You’ve been forgiven for the Oscars! Stop taking out your aggression on innocent stunt persons!
Obviously, this was an accident. We’re just joshing you, Anne Hathaway! Reports from the set say that while shooting scenes as Selina Kyle, Hathaway “got a bit carried away during a fight scene and mistakenly shoved the butt of the gun right into the actor’s eye socket,” leaving the stuntman with a nasty shiner and actress “mortified.” What can you say to that? The girl can seriously get into a character, and once you’re in the zone … Needless to say, Hathaway felt awful about this and did what any accidental assailant would do — she bought him a pen. A pen? Okay, a pen.
The star was so upset about the injury she bought the man a silver pen to apologise. Engraved on it was: “Remember no one packs a punch like Anne.”
A pen reminding him of the black eye she gave him. Adorable! Anne Hathaway — a darling force to be reckoned with. And we wish that stuntman a speedy recovery.
