Ahhhhh, here’s that excellent action-packed superhero movie we’ve been waiting for! A new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man just hit the web (haha, pun intended) and for those of you who have been a little unenthused about the previous trailers, this one has a very good chance of changing your mind. What’s in it? A better look at the action, a better look at the Lizard, and a nice little closeup of the mechanical web shooters in action.

    This trailer is an improvement, but no midnight showing on this one for me, I’m afraid.  Spider-man was one of my first crushes and I don’t want that youthful dream adulterated.  I liked the other three movies tolerably enough, but I’m going to wait for the reviews on this one.

    Well, I’ll give them credits for the trailer lol it is MUCH better than the other trailers. Watching this trailer I feel like I might watch the movie, but at home. I still think three is enough, if they did this in say… ten years from now, I might go watch it in the theater but I think it’s just to much spider-man in so few years…

    I know, every time I go into the comic shop, it’s like, “What? Twelve new Spider-Man comics? We just had twelve last month!”

    This trailer is way better than the previous ones, I agree. And I also agree on that we have a lot of comics and films about Spider-man and it would be better to wait a bit longer for another reboot. 
    However, I’m hyped to see the movie for real. I loved the films with Tobey… But he was a completly different approach for a character for me. I love Spidey as a deadpan snarker, quipping and driving the bad-guys nuts with his monologues. It’s why I always loved Spidey’s comics and cartoons and what I really missed in the movies. So I’m really happy of seeing Garfield’s Spider-man like that.
    And I’m kind of in love with the pose at 0:50.

    This to me is Spider-man. Those other movies didn’t capture the tone or characters right at all and frankly I am seeing this as a replacement and not a reboot. This feels current and I am excited for it.

    So “With great power comes great responsibility” has been replaced with “find the truth about my parents”? 

    I don’t know, I don’t remember Parker”s parents being a driving force of Spider-man.

    Well.. It definitely has me going, “Hell yeah!”

    But I agree, too soon for another Spider-Man flick especially a reboot/replacement. Nice to see a different take on it though.
