Amandla Stenberg, aka The Hunger Games‘ Rue, Is Coming to Sleepy Hollow

Real Or Not Real?

And this time her casting isn’t met with racist WTF-ery!

A few days back TVLine told us that Sleepy Hollow is getting a pair of new characters in the form of Captain Irving’s (Orlando Jones) ex-wife and teen daughter. The wife’s still a mystery, but the show’s tapped Amandla Stenberg, best known for playing Rue in The Hunger Games, to play his daughter Macey.

Via The Hollywood Reporter, Stenberg’s character “feels disconnected from her dad since he has taken up his post in Sleepy Hollow.” Here’s hoping her fate’s less grim than that of her Hunger Games counterpart.

When the show comes back on November 4th following its baseball-induced hiatus (ugh, sports) James Frain and John Noble will both put in their first appearances, the latter as a “Sin Eater,” whatever that is. And according to the trailer John Cho—who, along with his freaky neck, have been MIA for a few episodes—will have a triumphant return. And then a few weeks later, on November 25th, Stenberg’s Macey will show up for the first time.

The geek is strong with this show.
