New App Helps Mardi Gras Revelers “Pee All They Can Pee”

The levees will never break again.

Y’all, it’s Mardi Gras. If you can’t remember a time it was warm enough to take your top off, it may be hard to sympathize with revelers in Louisiana searching right now for a place to legally relieve their overtaxed bladders. Thankfully, there’s an app for those lucky sons of bitches. Or should I say, an a-pp? (pee joke, plebs.)

Today’s Mardi Gras is the inaugural event for AirPnP, a web app that gives partiers access to legal leak points. Founders and New Orleans natives Travis Laurendine and Max Gaudin developed the app after experiencing “the pain point of having no place to legally urinate” during Mardi Gras. Say the entrepeeneurs,

This problem is often solved by using what is known as a “rogue pee.” If caught the person faces a weekend in Orleans Parish Prison. Yet this stiff penalty doesn’t stop thousands upon thousands of “rogue pees.” This clearly demonstrates the demand for a legal alternative.

The “lavatory logistics” website is modeled off of AirBnB, the room-sharing app, and allows willing homeowners to rent out their bathrooms for the going rate of $1-3 per wizz.  Some crafty homeowners even offer free beers to ensure repeat customers:

Unless you throw up on the ground. 21+ for the beer.
Clean bathroom in our uptown home. Toilet paper and hand soap provided, of course. Large mirror for checking yourself out. Will be cleaned regularly throughout Mardi Gras.

Although for revelers anywhere near Napoleon Street, I suggest making a liquid gold deposit at this listing: they’re raising money for a Youth Summer Camp.

If you’re spending your day covered in beads and gumbo (note: I have never been to Mardi Gras), then take some time to rate and review AirPnP listings, and remember how lucky you are to feel the sun on your drunken face.

Mardi gras, bitches! Wooooooooooooo!
