Agent Carter Season 2 Synopsis Teases New Location, New Love Interests, and Possible Major Cast Changes

L.A. here we come!

I shudder to think how long a wait we have until more Agent Carter, especially since some newly-released Season 2 details are teasing big changes for Peggy in the months to come. A synopsis for Season 2 explains,

Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home – and perhaps even a new love – she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.

Considering the series was shot in LA last year despite being set in New York, it certainly makes logistical sense for Peggy herself to make the move (although if Angie doesn’t go to the Best Coast as well, I don’t know what I’ll do). Zap2It speculates that the series’ location change might necessitate a major cast shake-up, and notes that Hayley Atwell is currently the only credited cast member.

No premiere date has been set for Agent Carter‘s return yet, but it seems likely the series will follow the precedent of its first season and take over SHIELD‘s 9:00 Tuesday slot.

What do you folks think of Agent Carter‘s move (and of the synopsis’ focus on a possible LA love interest)? Regardless of how the series shakes out casting wise, hopefully Season 2 will see an emphasis on the diversity and representation that was sorely lacking in Season 1. And lots more excuses for Peggy to wear these shades, of course:
