Starting this March, I will have no excuse not to watch Adventure Time, as it—along with a slew of other offerings from Cartoon Network, Warner Bros. Animation, and Adult Swim—will be available for streaming on Netflix.
Yay for no more dodgy YouTube vids! Just kidding. There will always be dodgy YouTube vids.
The shows hitting Netflix on March 30, 2013 in addition to Adventure Time are: Ben 10, Johnny Bravo (oh, the memories!), Regular Show, Warner Bros.’ Green Lantern animated series, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Boondocks, Children’s Hospital, and Robot Chicken.
In a curious case of one-of-these-things-is-not-like-the-other, TNT’s Dallas reboot will also be available, albeit not until 2014.
I’ve intended to watch Adventure Time for a while now but never did because it wasn’t convenient to get online. There’s always been the option to torrent (not that I would ever do such a thing—the scandal!) or get the DVDs at my local rental place (I still have one. I know, it’s weird), though I tend to not use them for TV shows because then you have to rent like four discs, assuming they have what you want in the first place.
So the fact that it’s coming to Netflix is cool. I can finally mark it off my To Watch list! That thing is so long it’s scary.
