What's with the name?

Allow us to explain.

Good News Everyone!

According to Colin Mochrie, Whose Line Is Back

Aaand, that’s all we know at the moment. Anyone want to improvise an explanation for this?

Insert unpatriotic comment here about how the US version was, in pretty much all aspects, better than the UK one.

More info has come out. Aisha Tyler is one of the new hosts.

I hope this is a real thing. I can’t deal with it not being a real thing.

Especially since all the “contestants” on the UK one were on the US one anyways.

All? No, I don’t think that’s quite true. There are certainly overlaps in the casting, but I think the US one largely had a smaller pool that it pulled from whereas the UK one was much more fluid in its line-up (perhaps a hold-over from its radio days). I don’t recall the majority of the UK-based performers (John Sessions, Stephen Fry, Sandi Toksvig, etc.) ever appearing on the US version of the show, for example.

The US one, in my opinion, was just much more enjoyable. I think this was partially due to Drew Carey and his ability to work with the cast in a way that Clive Anderson just couldn’t.

    GET. OUT.

I only saw the reruns on Comedy Central, that had Colin Mochrie, Greg Proops, Ryan ??(also on Drew Carey show) as the most recurring(they were probably the last years it aired from UK). There were several others but they didn’t recur as often whose names I don’t recall(Its been years).
