Why Not Do It With Some Style?

1920s-Style Disney Villains Are the Bee’s Knees

[View All on One Page]

For those who love the visual aesthetic of the 1920s and Disney villains (They’re so much better than Disney princesses. There, I said it.), man, have we got some fanart for you. Katia Oloy has reimagined Disney villains, including the #1 Disney villain (step aside, Scar, I’m not talking about you—the best is Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove, clearly), in the style of the 1920s.

    Um, where is Maleficient?

I like to think that the skinnified Ursula is just midway through her transformation :)

  • AnnaB

They’re lovely, but why trim Ursula down like that?

  • Jennifer C.

My biggest complaint? There aren’t enough of these (especially with no Maleficent)!

  • Natalie Willoughby

Love these, but I think Yzma should have a more rigid, pointy face like in the movie. Also I agree with AnnaB about trimming down Ursula.

Why do we have HAVE that lever?

    Krunk! Throw the switch!

Yeah, she’s not scary beyond all reason anymore.

The only reason I can think of is to perhaps be trying to evoke a flapper-esque image, which mainly featured a svelte, flat, curve-less silhouette?

I still don’t like and am saddened by the decision, and I would have loved to see the properly sized Ursula kicking ass in that outfit like her damn sexy self would, but I can see the intention/aim the artist most likely had in mind.

I love these, but am also unhappy with Ursula being skinnified. I’m seeing this more often when artists do awesome crossovers. So, I’m redoing her…with a slightly different take…but still 1920′s. Take that! haha

Ah-HA! Brilliant! Maybe the artist will debut BBW Ursula after drumming up interest with this sampler pack. At least, I hope so.

Ms Pahle, you are correct, Yzma is indeed the greatest Disney villain. This is indisputable, and if any argue, you have my lance.
